FPA Young Achiever of the Year Award – Samia Razzaque

Founded in 1960 by Mr Harry W Marryatt who was tasked by his employer, Wormald, to create an independent fire protection organisation, The Fire Protection Association of Australia works to further the interests of its members, grow education within the industry and raise public awareness to the importance of Fire protection.
Today, the FPA is Australia’s peak industry body for fire protection standards, and the industry’s major technical and educational organisation.

Every year the organisation holds an awards ceremony to recognise the hard work and outstanding achievement of talented individuals within the Fire Protection Industry. All in all there are 9 categories, of which, Young Achiever of the Year is one.

2019 Award Winner

 

 

 

In November of 2019, Samia Razzaque – our Technical Services Manager – won the coveted Young Achiever of the Year Award. In 2019, The FPA received a record number of award nominations, across all 9 categories which they award, making Samia’s accomplishment all the more fantastic and deserving of praise. In her own words

“I have a thirst for knowledge and aspire to have as much knowledge as possible when it come to structural fire engineering as well as passive fire protection for structural adequacy.
