Founded in 1960 by Mr Harry W Marryatt who was tasked by his employer, Wormald, to create an independent fire protection organisation, The Fire Protection Association of Australia works to further the interests of its members, grow education within the industry and raise public awareness to the importance of Fire protection.
Today, the FPA is Australia’s peak industry body for fire protection standards, and the industry’s major technical and educational organisation.
Every year the organisation holds an awards ceremony to recognise the hard work and outstanding achievement of talented individuals within the Fire Protection Industry. All in all there are 9 categories, of which, Young Achiever of the Year is one.
